Are Advertising Services Worth the Cost?  Finding the right advertising can be tough for business owners. It’s necessary to advertise your business in order to attract customers, but using the wrong services or advertising in the wrong niche could mean that you’re just throwing money away.

Advertising Services that distribute flyers, brochures and other marketing materials can be a very valuable way to get your promotional materials out to customers but they can be expensive. New small business owners may be reluctant to take on the cost of an advertising service without knowing for sure what the return will be. When deciding if services are worth the expense to your business, consider these factors:

Time Costs Money Too!

What will it cost you or your staff to distribute flyers, brochures and other marketing materials? How many work hours will be spend preparing the materials and what is the cost of printing and designing your own materials? If you are paying employees hourly wages or if you are running the business entirely on your own the cost of paying an outside company to distribute your marketing materials might be less than what it would cost you to do it in-house.

Advertising Companies Have Distribution Experience

Unless you have done promotional advertising distribution in the past you probably don’t know the most efficient ways to distribute materials or even what the laws are in different places regarding flyering and other distribution of promotional material.  Services that specialize in that kind of work have the experience necessary to get your materials out into the public sphere quickly and efficiently.

Advertising Services Can Distribute In Different Areas

If you are promoting a website or an online business you should be thinking about marketing that site to your intended niche all over the country. It would be impossible for you to get out and promote your materials outside of your local area, but hiring a service to distribute them could put your promotional materials into the hands of potential customers everywhere.

If you’re not sure if outsourcing your promotion is right for your business try an experiment to see what the return on outsourcing is.  Use a service to distribute a special coupon or flyer and measure what the return is on that promotion. That should give you a pretty good indication of whether or not the cost of hiring outside Advertising Services is worth it for your company.

Advertising services start with a professional looking ad or brochure. One of my clients (I am a holistic guidance counselor) owns a therapy rooms business and one of her staff, a masseur, was only getting a few clients a day. So she got an advertising service to prepare a professional brochure. The rule was that if she wasn’t massaging then she must be walking the streets in the local area letterboxing brochures. That was so successful there are now two masseurs working there.

Advertising services can be a great way to get your business moving or get started.

I agree with “time is money” you are better off to keep running your business because this is what your best at and invest the money into having all the marketing work done by the advertising services you decide to choose.
